Depending on who you talk to its origins date back at least 50,000 years, possibly 70,000 years, or since the beginning of time in the dreaming. The word Aborigine comes from meaning “from the beginning” or “origin”, the word Indigenous used to describe both Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders means ‘native to place’.
