Gail Gower Consulting

Gail has spent over 30 years in the tourism industry, and her wide range of experience covers marketing, sales and product development for a niche Wholesaler, working for a State Tourism Authority based in London, managing a busy Visitor Centre in regional Western Australia and General Manager positions’ with accommodation properties.

Based in Broome in the Kimberley region of Western Australia for 26 years and having lived in Kununurra and Darwin, Gail has a strong affinity and understanding of the issues affecting regional Australia and the challenges of living and operating businesses in remote locations. She has an extremely strong network of local contacts encompassing tourism, hospitality and general businesses across the Kimberley and the Northern Territory.

Since 2011, Gail has been heavily involved with mentoring roles for aboriginal tourism businesses, firstly through the Indigenous Champions Program and currently working to build Tourism Capacity for Aboriginal businesses on the Dampier Peninsula.   She has provided business mentoring through Tourism Council WA and undertaken projects in product development and workforce initiatives with Tourism Western Australia.   Gail continues to work as a Business Advisor in the tourism area for Kimberley Small Business Support and provide sales, marketing and product development support to a number of tour and accommodation operators in the Kimberley.   Calling on experience gained from her varied roles in tourism and travel, she can provide a practical understanding of the industry and assist operators to develop their business, build relationships and increase sales and distribution with the wider travel industry.
