Beemurra Aboriginal Corporation (Beemurra) owns and manages the farming property Yallalie Downs, which is situated between Badgingarra and Moora in the Dandaragan shire (see where we are on the map). Beemurra has been successfully managing Yallalie Downs since 1999.
The campground at Yallalie Downs is to be operated by Beemurra Aboriginal Corporation and will facilitate cultural tourism activities and diversify employment and economic opportunities, values adding to the existing operations undertaken by Beemurra.
Beemurra is making way for a youth camp and cultural healing space at Yallalie Downs that draws on cultural understanding and science to deliver leadership and skill development. With increased capacity and confidence, the long-term goal beyond five years, is that youth emerge as leaders, ready to lead, deliver and organise future youth camps and drive a youth led commercial tourism potential at Yallalie Downs.
