Operating 75 kilometres from Kununurra in the Keep River/Legune area, when it comes to action packed fishing, Explore with Lamparangana is the most popular Indigenous Kununurra tourism and Kimberley fishing tour business. Explore with Lamparangana gives you the opportunity to enjoy the landscapes around the Ord River, Keep River and King River.

Each of the River’s have their own unique ecosystem and landscapes, with fishing options a plenty.

Kununurra is the gateway town to the East Kimberley and is accessible from all major Australian cities via Darwin, Broome and Perth. It’s approximately a 10.5hr drive from Broome, or about 6.5hrs from Katherine in the Northern Territory.

If you’re up for more of an adventure, you can also access Kununurra by four-wheel drive over several days via the unsealed Gibb River Road from Broome.

The land-based tours operate by very comfortable four-wheel drives, and will take you to some of the best fishing spots in Kununurra and across the WA/NT border. Our seasonal experiences will give you the opportunity to camp on country or explore some of our favourite swimming spots in unique local freshwater springs and waterfalls.

When it comes to fishing, you’ll have a personal lesson in net casting, with tips and tricks from our experienced guide.

Light refreshments and beverages are available throughout the day and if you land a catch, your tour guide will fillet it for you to cook up at home.
