We, the Wunambal Gaambera people welcome you to our Country – Bianngaa graa winya.
We are the native title holders of 2.5 million hectares of graa (land) and wundaagu (saltwater), that is our Wunambal Gaambera Country, in the North Kimberley region of Australia.
Our graa (country) and wundaagu (saltwater country), and all living things which make up our living home - our Uunguu, has been passed to us from our Wanjina Wunggurr creators and ancestors. We are following our Wunambal Gaambera Healthy Country Plan to help us look after our Uunguu, our cultural and natural assets and values, to pass, intact, to future generations and share with visitors.
Our Healthy Country vision for the next ten years, is for us, Wunambal Gaambera people, to build our sustainable livelihoods and communal wealth on and from our Country.
Visitors who access Wunambal Gaambera Country will need a valid Uunguu Visitor Pass (UVP). The UVP is a modern and practical way for us and our ancestors (images in our rock art) to know who is travelling in our country.
