Have you ever thought about choosing an ant over chocolate? Or perhaps a lilly pilly over strawberries in your cupcake?

It might sound strange, but the bush has a plethora of treats not many people know about. From the fresh and subtle treat to curb that sweet tooth, the honey ant, or a heftier meal such as mud crab.

Even better, we are now in the wildflower season. But, Why does this matter? Besides the stunning changes in the landscape, bursting with vibrant colours, there are many cultural, historical, and even medicinal, plants that make this season so unique.

WA's wildflowers rank among the most spectacular flower displays in the world. Between July and October, many parts of the state become blankets of colour with everything from tiny crimson myrtles, dainty smokebush, fiery mountain bells and over 150 varieties of orchids coming into bloom.

Did you know some of the many plants all over WA can boost your immune system, or help with those pesky sore joints, or even be made into anti-aging cream! I won’t reveal too much, join one of our 37 tours or experiences and learn this all for yourself!

With our new and gorgeous Wildflowers brochure you’ll not only see the Western Australian landscape transform, but also learn how to look at the land like a big natural supermarket (and how flavoursome and nourishing it is too!)
