  • Hear the Dreaming stories from the Balabur river people
  • Visit the Bush art gallery with authentic arts & crafts
  • Learn about and play Aboriginal music instruments
  • Learn some Wanga Dancing (Didgeridoo, clap sticks, etc.)

After collection from your accommodation by Triple J Tours, join a short boat cruise along the Ord River to Mud Springs community.

You will be welcomed by traditional Miriuwung Dancers and treated to a Muntha (traditional welcome to country) to keep you safe as you travel through Miriuwung Country.

The Mud Springs (Ribinyung Dawang) people will show you traditional practices, boab carving, clapping sticks and how to make spears, still used today, as you sit on the banks of the Ord River.

Enjoy some fresh damper straight off the fire and billy bush tea and share the stories of the dream time.

This is a rare glimpse into the traditional culture of the river people of Kununurra, an experience and friendships you won’t forget.
