Delegates are required to arrange their accommodation direct with the accommodation providers. Bunbury is a popular location for regular weekend travellers from Perth, so we encourage you to arrange your accommodation as soon as convenient. There will be long weekends before and after the event which is an opportunity to explore the region further during your stay.
With all accommodation options, please ensure you advise the reservations desk of the property that you are booking as part of the AITC 2016 conference to ensure they offer you the delegate rate.

Getting around Bunbury can easily occur by walking, driving, cycling, taking a taxi and/or using local bus services. Details of what is available locally has been provided for your convenience.

The Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre is adjacent to the main bus terminal that adjoins the Bunbury Visitor Centre. This serves the local area, but also provides regular links to the greater South West and Perth.
The Australian Indigenous Tourism Conference 2016 will be held at the Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre (BREC). BREC is a high profile and well supported entertainment and cultural venue located in the heart of Bunbury’s CBD, offering live music, comedy, dance, children’s theatre and more to the South West region.
It’s just 90 minutes south of Perth, with spectacular views of the Leschenault Inlet, the newly completed BREC Conventions

The Geographe region of Australia’s South West is the closest region to Perth, just one and a half hours south. With its proximity
to the capital, Geographe is ideal for short getaways. Bunbury is the central hub of the region and as Western Australia’s
second largest city, it has plenty of options for dining out, shopping and accommodation. Bunbury is most well-known for
the pods of wild bottlenose dolphins which frequent the shores of Koombana Bay regularly, allowing visitors the opportunity
to wade, cruise or swim with them.
Most hotels are based within the CBD and within walking distance of the conference venue.

March in Bunbury during summer can be quite warm. However, being a coastal town the nights may be little cooler - please bring a light jacket/coat, wrap, scarf or cardigan for evening events.
It is anticipated that the weather for March 2016 will be in the vicinity of a cool/mild 17-24 degree Celsius overnight with daytime temperature 27-30 degree Celsius (average)
There are a number of restaurants in the Bunbury area. Should you wish to sample the wonderful food and wines that Bunbury
and the local region has to offer, according to Australian’s Good Food Guide, the following restaurants are noteworthy.
Please note that no official arrangements have been made for childcare during the Conference. We suggest you check with your accommodation provider who may be able to assist you further with babysitting services during your stay.

Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind. It is strongly recommended that all delegates take out their own travel and medical insurance prior to coming to the Conference.
The policy should include loss of fees/deposit through cancellation of your participation in the Conference, or through cancellation of the Conference itself, loss of airfares for any reason, medical expenses, loss or damage to personal property, additional expenses and repatriation should travel arrangements have to be altered. Neither the Conference Secretariat nor the Organising Committee will take any responsibility for any participant failing to insure. Please speak to your travel agent or airline about this matter.
The AITC 2016 Conference and or the Conference Secretariat will not accept liability for the damages of any nature sustained by participants or their accompanying persons or loss or damage to their personal property because of the AITC 2016 Conference or related events.
We recognise that some delegates may have special dietary requirements. Please advise the Conference Secretariat via the registration form or in writing should you require alternative arrangements be made on your behalf.
Please Note: Dietary requirements received less than 72 hours prior to the event cannot be guaranteed. Kosher meals may be available, however please note this may be at an additional cost.
Messages for delegates attending the Conference will be placed on a message board at the Conference Registration Desk. Please check these boards during your session breaks throughout the day.

There are a number of Council-owned car parks opposite and either side of BREC, with access from Symmonds Street, Clifton Street
and the Inlet side of Blair Street, directly opposite the Grand Cinemas.
Parking of less than 2 hours is free, while longer than 2 hours is payable during the hours of 8am to 5pm Monday to Saturday, free on Sundays.

Delegates will be able to relax and be treated to a night of Aboriginal infused food, music and art. Enjoy the setting overlooking the foreshore and enjoy everyone’s company and network which could open up doors to new opportunities. Delegates are requested to bring or wear something in the aqua colour.
Prices may change as we verify your registration. You will be sent a Tax Invoice before you are charged with the final amount, and be notified of any additional changes, should they occur.
During the Conference and Social Functions there may be a photographer and/or videographer present to record the event. After the event, images may be posted on the conference website or used in future promotional materials.

In registering for the Conference, relevant details may be forwarded to the Organising Committee, Members and Sponsors. It is also intended to provide a list for delegates. If you do not wish your details to be forwarded, please indicate so by UN-TICKING the 'Subscribe to: Delegate Information List' below the sign up form.
Mastercard and Visa are only accepted and will incur a 1.5% surcharge.
Cancellations made before the 30 November 2015 are eligible for a full refund (minus processing fee)
Cancellations made after 30 November 2015 but before 1 February 2016 will only be eligible for a 50% refund.
Cancellations made after 1 February 2016 will not be refunded. However, a replacement delegate may be permissible.
